After the calf's natural mother walked away from the calf following birth, the cow shown here took to the calf and acted as the mother through Tuesday. The problem, according to owner Alex Dees from Bard, Calif., was that the cow had no milk for the calf. As a result, Dees said he was looking for the real mother among 200 head of cattle and planned to reunite the two as soon as possible. --photo by Jacob Lopez
