Firefighters exit the Children's Center, located at Avenue B and 17th Place, after looking for remaining hotspots in the buildings roof Wednesday evening. According to Mike Erfert, a Yuma Fire Department spokesman, there were employees and a few children on the premises when smoke detectors started going off.
