Jose L. Guillen - Sun Scholar Award 2008: Foreign Language

Jose Luis Guillen most likes foreign language because he gets to learn more about his own culture.

"I have know (Guillen) for four years and he is a great role model to his family and peers," wrote Juan Morales, Spanish teacher at San Pasqual Valley High School.

"I love that he is always trying to learn and master the Spanish language."

Guillen has received Perfect Attendance and Honor Roll awards. And he's received recognition for Best Practice, Most Dependable and Best Competitor in wrestling.

After graduation, he plans to join the military. While in the military, he plans to work toward becoming a physical education teacher. He is the son of Billy Frazier and Maria Frazier.
