Three holes burned into a what was once a salt cedar or tamarisk tree may look interesting now but it wasn't so interesting when it was ablaze along with a lot of other vegetation in March east of Paradise Casinos. The wildfire left two people homeless. Now, with the weather getting hotter and hotter, and plants that flourished in the winter drying up and creating fuel for more potential wildfires, the Bureau of Land Managment will put into effect smoking and campfire restrictions on all land it administers along the Colorado River, starting Thursday.
