Sonia Cobian

Sonia Cobian, a senior at Kofa High School, enjoys her field of study because it makes her "understand how to run a business job."

Cobian has received the Renaissance Award and the Excellence Award, is a member of the French Club and a teachers aide for the guidance office. She is the daughter of Javier and Sonia Cobian.

Sally Rodriguez, the teacher who nominated her, wrote in her letter, "Sonia has shown great promise in all that she has done throughout high school. She is seldom absent from class."

Rodriguez said Cobian is often the first student to submit her projects, which reflect hard work and attention to detail.

Cobian plans to attend Arizona Western College to major in accounting.
